Nick looked at the map of the old asylum. The edges of the this paper curled around his fingertips as a bustle of figures passed him to set up the equipment for the nights investigation. It was a fairly large building with many different hallways and passages to underground tunnels. Each little turn took you deeper and deeper underground. Nick felt it very invigorating to imagine all the evidence they would capture that night. He was practically fuming with his excitement.

Zak on the other hand took it with a more serious demeanor. His stance was upright and proper with a stern look in his eyes as he told Aaron and a few other colleagues where to put the equipment. Zak sighed as he lugged a large suitcase full of monitors and electrical wires in it. He struggled to lift the heavy case barely two inches off the ground as he looked around for the help that wasn't around since everyone was already inside. Everyone accept Nick. Nick rushed to Zak's side to help him lift the case and Zak sighed in relief and flashed the shorter male a soft smile. Nick smiled back and chuckled as they both lugged the case inside where Aaron was awaiting them.

"Geez, what took you guys so long to bring that inside!?" Aaron exclaimed and rolled his eyes back playfully.

"This thing is fucking heavy!" Zak exclaimed to Aaron's outburst.

Aaron simply laughed and unzipped the case after lying it on its side. Aaron slid out the monitors and wiped the screens off with his jacket sleeve. Once clean he smiled, pleased. Nick chuckled as he took out his large camera from his bag. He laced it atop his shoulder and let it perch there as he got his voice recorder and EMF meter. He was all set by the time Aaron and Zak geared up. Those whom were not needed on the investigation left quickly as if they were given the boot on their ways out. Nick found it odd at just how fast they all exited the premises, but he should have expected that given they were in a haunted building with a very violent past.

Aaron and Nick flipped their cameras on and began rolling. Zak gave the usual greeting to all the fans watching at home before they began. Nick smiled as he aimed the camera at Zak to capture every word he said. Aaron was focused on Nick and the circle of one camera on another began. Zak lead the crew deep within the dark abyss of the building. Each turn lead them to a new section they had yet to explore in their previous walk through when daylight shone in the cracked windows of the asylum. Nick admitted to himself he was a bit fearful of what haunted this building. Zak on the other hand remained braze and strong. He trudged forward even though his vision was obscured but the unforgiving darkness. It plagued this building; the dark. Aaron looked all around him in some attempt to get a grasp on his surroundings so he didn't trip over any obscuring objects or run into any walls.

"Did you guys hear that!?" Zak exclaimed suddenly, snapping Nick out of his trance of distant thoughts.

'Yeah dud! I totally did!!" Aaron exclaimed, "It was like a growling male voice!"

"O-Oh yeah! I heard it too Zak!" Nick said and blushed a little noticing how delayed his response was.

"That came from the end of the hall, lets go!" Zak said and began running towards the end of the hall to chase after the disembodied voices they all had been experiencing.

Nick tried his best to keep up with the other two but his large camera made the task much more difficult. He ran as fast as he could until he almost bumped Zak. He steadied himself from the close impact and blushed noticing Zak turn and smile at him chuckling softly. Nick didn't enjoy being laughed at but it was Zak, no one could fuss him about it. Nick smiled back and chuckled as Aaron zoomed in on Nick from across the hallway. Nick chose to ignore him as he glided out of frame to follow Zak. Aaron was the last in the line to follow as he turned his camera all around to get a good glance at the end of the eerie hallway. Once he spun his camera back around he got an image of Nick and Zak standing side by side frozen in place. The hairs on their arms were standing on end.

"G-Guys?" Aaron called out. Zak put his hand up to silence Aaron.

"Dude, you feel that too right?" Zak asked Nick.

"Yeah, like this WALL of energy dude!" Nick replied to Zak.

Both men stood there as Nick filmed the goose bumps on their arms. They were about to move forward before a loud ring of laughter echoed through the corridors. All three investigators shouted in fear as Zak openly gasped.

"No fucking way dude....Aaron! Nick! Did you hear that!?" He exclaimed.

"It sounded just like a little girl bro!" Aaron replied.

Nick couldn't muster up a reply willing the silence to try and hear the girl again. He wanted sound evidence that was real. He listened at the entire hall filled with silence. As clear as day the girl's eerie laughter rang out for a second time. Nick gasped and backpedaled on his heels slightly. Zak caught him by the wrist and pulled him back forward so he could run with him to investigate the sound.

Nick blushed but knew tonight was going to be longer than he could ever have guessed.

Gah! I know its super short! Im sorry but its like 12:30 am and im exhausted! I figured I'd finish this up before bed so here ya go!
